ShiftMedical is a Heidelberg based medical Congress with the focus of bringing professionals from the Medical and XR field together. With a stron focus on Networking and a curated atendance list.
The ShiftMedical 2023 was the forth total addition with every shift aiming to explore new ways to bring experts together and create a shared space to move the Medical field forward.

Open Medical XR Inovation Workshop
Description
I was tasked to create a new section of the Shift Medical congress. The goal was to create an opportunity for newcomers (mostly Medical professionals) to learn about every important step of an VR Development cycle. To achief this goal I conceptualised a Workshop format where 3 Developers of our team together with experts of each Development step have a fully transparent conversation with the audience.
In a 3 Week development cycle we went through the same steps to go from an Idea to a first usable Prototype. Based on an emmergancy room scenario we created a VR learning experience surving as the base for the event sessions. The Prototype included common interactions of the field, different movement and interaction types for the discussions. We also included a AI basded voice interaction and sound system to demonstrate modern solutions tyo small scale prototype develoment.
The final sessions spaned over two days and were cohoseted with 9+ Professionals. The Audience recevence was overwelmingly positive and it quickly became the star of this years Shift Medical.
